Chapter 3 - The Terrifying Realization

The chaotic, violent realization crashed over Adrian like a freight train.

He slowly looked up from the silver watch. The warmth, the amusement, and the gentle mafia boss entirely evaporated. In his place knelt a cold, ruthless apex predator who had just discovered a piece of his murdered brother in the hands of a stranger.

His piercing, pitch-black eyes locked directly onto Elena, who was still standing paralyzed on the white marble staircase.

"Where did she get this?" Adrian demanded. His voice was no longer a warm chuckle. It was a cold, lethal whisper that vibrated with a demonic promise of violence.

Elena physically stepped backward, her elegant beaded gown shaking. She was entirely trapped by his piercing gaze.

"I... I can explain," Elena choked out, tears of sheer terror spilling down her pale cheeks.

"Answer the question," Adrian commanded softly, slowly rising to his full, towering height. His guards instinctively shifted, their hands resting on their holstered weapons.

"It was in the guest room desk," Elena wept hysterically, desperately trying to protect her child. "I swear to God! I was looking for a flash drive! I didn't know she took it!"

Adrian’s sharp jawline locked into titanium.

He didn't pull his gun. A quick bullet in the foyer was far too generous for whatever monster had brought his dead brother's stolen watch into his house.

He looked at the heavy black silk tie still draped around Nora’s neck. He recognized the specific custom stitching. It belonged to Marcus, Adrian's incredibly trusted, arrogant Underboss, who permanently resided in the estate's guest wing.

👉 Adrian realized his brother's murderer was sleeping under his own roof, and the bloodbath was about to begin.
