Chapter 3 - The Billionaire's Warning

The silence at the VIP table was heavy and dripping with imminent violence.

Graham looked at Nolan, his dark eyes turning blacker than midnight.

"You are mistaken, Nolan," Graham stated, his voice a low, lethal rumble that made the nearby waiters freeze. "Emma didn't trap you. She survived you. And she certainly doesn't need my money."

Nolan scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Right. She was a middle-school teacher, Graham. She doesn't belong in a place like this. She’s just using you to make me jealous."

Emma finally looked directly at Nolan. Her realistic micro-expressions didn't show anger. They showed pure, unadulterated pity.

"I'm not here for you, Nolan," Emma said smoothly, her voice completely calm. "I am here to sign a contract."

Nolan frowned, his arrogant facade cracking slightly. "What contract?"

Graham reached into the inner pocket of his black tuxedo. He pulled out a sleek, heavy gold pen and placed it gently on the table in front of Emma.

"The contract for the acquisition of her educational software company," Graham revealed flawlessly, completely shattering Nolan's illusion of superiority. "While you were busy hiding assets in Europe, Emma finished coding a revolutionary AI learning platform. My firm just purchased the licensing rights for forty million dollars."

All the blood violently drained from Nolan’s face. He looked like he had just been struck by lightning.

"Forty... forty million?" Nolan choked out, his knees physically buckling.

He realized in a fraction of a second that the woman he had abandoned, the woman he had called a burden, was now officially wealthier than his entire extended family combined.

"Yes," Graham smiled, a cold, merciless, cinematic smile. "And since the divorce was finalized three days ago, you have absolutely zero legal claim to a single dime of it."
