Chapter 9 - The Rightful Place

"Your job as a housekeeper ended the second that door opened," Rhett stated firmly, leaving absolutely no room for argument.

He reached into his pocket and handed Isa a heavy, solid black titanium keycard.

"I am elevating you to the Director of my personal estate," Rhett continued, his dark eyes locking onto hers. "I am quadrupling your salary. I am moving you into a massive, heavily guarded private suite in the master wing tonight, and I will ensure the best doctors in the city heal your arm. You are no longer the hired help, Isa. You are family."

Tears of pure, unadulterated joy spilled down Isa’s bruised cheeks. She clutched the titanium keycard, realizing she had finally secured a beautiful, untouchable future.

Within minutes, Rhett’s private medical team arrived, carefully treating her injuries with absolute precision and care. Rhett didn't leave her side for a single second.

Six months later, the nightmare was entirely over.

Marcus had completely disappeared into the violent shadows of the Russian cartel, never to be heard from again. He lost absolutely everything.

Isa didn't just survive; she thrived. Her arm healed perfectly. She managed Rhett’s massive estate with absolute grace, fierce loyalty, and undeniable compassion. She wasn't shivering in a small apartment anymore. She was completely, undeniably visible.
