Chapter 10 - The Ultimate Justice

The chaotic, humiliating scene spilled out onto the manicured front lawn.

Theo and Khloe stood shivering on the driveway, entirely stripped of their wealth, their arrogance, and their dignity.

Slowly, a sleek black luxury Maybach pulled into the driveway, parking smoothly behind the police cruisers. The tinted back window rolled down.

Sitting in the plush leather backseat, wearing a stunning designer coat instead of her cheap pink cardigan, was Camila. She didn't look like a frail grandmother. She looked incredibly, profoundly powerful.

"Mom, please!" Theo shrieked, running toward the car. An officer immediately shoved him back. "I'm sorry! Khloe lied to me! I'll divorce her! Please don't leave me with nothing!"

Camila looked at him with absolute, chilling indifference.

"I am giving you a choice, Theo," Camila said softly, her voice carrying effortlessly through the crisp morning air. "You can live on the streets with nothing. Or, you can sign full legal custody of Hugo over to me right now. In exchange, I will pay for a small, one-bedroom apartment for you and your wife for exactly one year."

Theo and Khloe, completely desperate and utterly terrified of poverty, didn't even hesitate. They selfishly signed the custody papers on the hood of the police cruiser, literally trading their own son for a cheap roof over their heads.

Camila took the papers. The back door of the Maybach opened, and nine-year-old Hugo jumped out, running straight into his grandmother’s arms with a massive, relieved smile.

Camila hugged him tightly, rolled up the tinted window, and drove away, leaving the toxic monsters on the curb forever.

If you were Camila, would you have given them the cheap apartment, or was letting them freeze on the street the absolute perfect revenge?
