Chapter 5 - The Midnight Phone Call

Camila sat in the driver’s seat of her modest sedan, parked at the end of the long, manicured driveway. The massive suburban estate glowed beautifully in the dark.

She pulled her encrypted smartphone from her brown purse and dialed a direct number.

"Mr. Sterling," Camila spoke, her voice dropping all pretense of the sweet, submissive grandmother. She spoke with the cold, lethal authority of a billionaire CEO.

Mr. Sterling was the senior partner of the most ruthless corporate law firm in the state, and he personally managed Camila’s massive, nine-figure anonymous trust fund.

"Good evening, Madam," the sharp, professional voice answered immediately.

"It's time to pull the plug on Project Theo," Camila commanded smoothly. "My son has completely lost his mind."

"Are you certain, ma'am?" Sterling asked. "If we execute the withdrawal clauses, his tech startup will be completely insolvent by morning. He will have absolutely zero corporate assets."

"I am entirely certain," Camila replied, her eyes locked onto the dining room window. "Freeze the corporate funding immediately. Liquidate the dummy accounts. And Mr. Sterling? Vanguard Holdings owns the estate he is currently drinking wine in. I want them evicted. Tomorrow morning."

"I will dispatch the county sheriff and the asset seizure team at dawn," Sterling replied clinically. "They will be thrown out with only the clothes on their backs."

👉 Camila hung up the phone, ready to completely dismantle her son’s fraudulent reality by sunrise.
