Chapter 9 - The Arrest of the Billionaire
The lead federal agent marched straight up to the weeping billionaire on the floor.
"Dominic Vance," the agent barked loudly over the chaos of the ballroom. "You are under arrest for massive corporate embezzlement, wire fraud, grand larceny, and domestic assault."
"No! I am the CEO!" Dominic screamed hysterically, thrashing and kicking wildly as two massive agents hauled him violently to his feet.
The cold steel handcuffs clicked loudly around his wrists, snapping the arrogant monster back into the horrific reality of his crimes. He looked desperately at the wealthy investors watching him, but every single one of them turned their backs in absolute disgust.
"Take them away," the lead agent commanded.
The agents dragged the weeping, hysterical husband and his screaming mistress out of the grand ballroom, ending their reign of psychological cruelty, arrogance, and greed forever. They were going to a maximum-security prison completely, irreversibly broke.
The lead agent walked over to Nora. He gently handed her the vintage gold emerald ring they had retrieved from Isabeau.
"Thank you for your cooperation, ma'am," the agent said respectfully.
