Chapter 7 - The Banishment

"No! Please, Vincent! The Russians will skin me alive!" Dante sobbed hysterically, dropping to his knees on the polished marble floor. He crawled desperately toward Vincent’s expensive leather shoes. "I'm your brother! You can't hand me over to them! Just shoot me! Please, just shoot me!"
Vincent looked down at the pathetic, weeping monster who had tried to murder him for a paycheck.
"You stopped being my brother the second you threatened a three-year-old child to cover your tracks," Vincent replied quietly, entirely immune to his fake tears.
Vincent looked up at his elite, heavily armed bodyguards.
"Strip him," Vincent commanded coldly.
The massive men stepped forward. They violently ripped the expensive navy suit jacket off Dante's shoulders. They tore the luxury watch from his wrist and confiscated his encrypted phone. They completely stripped him of his wealth, his armor, and his high-society pride.
"Throw him in the trunk of the car," Vincent ordered, his voice echoing with absolute doom. "Drive him directly to the Russian cartel's headquarters. Tell the boss that Dante lost their money. Let the wolves handle the thief."
"No! Dante! You can't do this to me!" Dante screamed, thrashing wildly as the guards violently hauled him to his feet.
They dragged the weeping, humiliated traitor backward out of the elegant dining room. His desperate, agonizing cries echoed down the hallway until the heavy front doors slammed shut, permanently swallowing his toxic existence into violent ruin.
The threat was entirely neutralized. The empire was secure. The rat was gone.
