Chapter 3 - The Exposed Traitor

Victor stopped breathing. The air in his lungs violently turned to absolute ice.
The older bodyguard’s arrogant, untouchable smirk completely vanished. The color violently drained from his face, leaving him looking like a terrified ghost. He realized his massive, twenty-five-year reign of absolute trust had just been completely annihilated by a five-year-old girl with a box of crayons.
"Boss, surely you don't believe—" Victor stammered pathetically, completely dropping his disciplined composure.
Alessandro didn't look at Victor. He kept his dark, lethal eyes locked entirely on the crayon drawing.
He didn't need to hear Victor’s pathetic excuse. The symptoms he had been suffering for months—the migraines, the heart palpitations, the constant exhaustion—weren't from stress. He wasn't sick. He was being methodically, slowly poisoned by the man he trusted to protect his life.
Alessandro slowly turned his head, glaring directly at his oldest friend. His expression completely shifted. The exhausted, trusting boss vanished. The cold, demonic, calculating apex predator fully awakened.
"Be quiet," Alessandro commanded. His voice was deadly quiet, dropping into a terrifying register that promised imminent destruction.
Victor froze, completely paralyzed by sheer terror.
