Chapter 7 - The Tunnel Collapse
"You left your radio in the closet, Victor," Dominic whispered, his voice dropping into a demonic register that promised imminent destruction.
Victor’s arrogant, confident facade completely, violently shattered into a million pieces. The color entirely drained from his perfectly contoured face. He realized his entire, massive federal treason and assassination plot had just been completely annihilated by a six-year-old girl.
Cornered and desperate, Victor aggressively reached inside his suit jacket, desperately trying to pull his heavy, suppressed handgun to shoot his way out of the hallway.
But Dominic moved with explosive, blinding, cinematic speed.
Before Victor could even clear the holster, Dominic aggressively slammed his thumb down on the detonator button.
A massive, incredibly deep, muffled explosion violently shook the entire foundation of the luxury mansion. The floorboards trembled as hundreds of tons of reinforced concrete completely collapsed the secret tunnel directly beneath them.
Victor's backup hit squad, waiting in the darkness of the passage, was permanently buried.
Victor shrieked in absolute, blood-curdling panic. He tried to raise his weapon, but Dominic violently lunged forward, grabbing the traitor by the throat and slamming him brutally against the dark wood paneling.
