Chapter 3 - The Blue Powder

An hour before the glass shattered on the marble floor, the private dining room had been relatively calm.
Garrett had stepped out to take an urgent international business call, leaving Madison and Margaret alone at the corner VIP table. I was standing in the shadows of the dark paneled walls, holding a tray of appetizers, waiting for the right moment to serve them.
That was when I saw it.
Madison looked over her shoulder, ensuring the room's attention was on the live jazz band. She opened her small gold clutch and pulled out a tiny vial. With lightning speed, she tipped a heavy dose of fine blue powder directly into Margaret’s hot chamomile tea.
My heart completely stopped. I instantly recognized the faint blue tint. It was an illegal, highly potent black-market sedative designed to induce severe confusion, memory loss, and lethargy.
Madison wasn't just isolating Margaret. She was actively, chemically poisoning the billionaire's mother to make her appear entirely incompetent.

Madison quickly pulled a thick stack of legal documents from her bag, slamming them onto the table along with a gold pen. It was a complete transfer of Power of Attorney. If Margaret drank that tea, she would be completely drugged, and Madison would physically force her to sign away her entire estate before the wedding even happened.
👉 I couldn't just accuse a billionaire's powerful fiancée without hard proof, so I executed a desperate, highly dangerous plan.
