Chapter 9 - The Executioner's Judgment

Camilla’s pathetic, desperate cries echoed down the hallway until the heavy steel service doors slammed shut, permanently swallowing her toxic existence into violent ruin.
Dominic turned his dark, piercing eyes back to Marco.
The forty-year-old bodyguard was still pinned to the floor, bleeding from his mouth, completely terrified of the apex predator he had betrayed.
"Boss, please! Twenty-five years of loyalty!" Marco begged, his voice cracking with raw panic. "I protected you!"
"You murdered my sister," Dominic whispered, his jaw locking so tightly the muscles ticked beneath his stubble. "And you tried to murder my son."
Dominic didn't shoot him. He looked at his remaining security men.
"Take him to the soundproof basement at the docks," Dominic ordered, his voice devoid of any human emotion. "And call the Russian syndicate he owes gambling debts to. Tell them Marcus is a gift. Let the wolves handle the thief."
Marco let out a horrific, high-pitched wail of pure agony, thrashing wildly as the guards violently hauled him to his feet. They dragged the weeping, humiliated traitor out of the restaurant, sealing his fate in absolute darkness.
The threat was entirely neutralized. The empire was secure.
The chaotic, violent energy completely evaporated from the magnificent private dining room. Dominic instructed his remaining guards to wait outside, ensuring absolute privacy.
