Chapter 7 - The Corporate Guillotine

Dominic didn't yell. He didn't need to.

He slowly turned his towering, muscular frame to face the Director of Finance. The temperature in the ballroom dropped ten degrees.

"Rocco," Dominic commanded, his voice a freezing, lethal frequency.

"Yes, Boss," the massive Security Chief replied, dropping the evidence bag onto a nearby champagne table.

"Confiscate Gregory's corporate phone and his keycard," Dominic ordered clinically, entirely ignoring the wealthy guests watching the execution. "He is terminated. Effective immediately."

Gregory physically staggered backward, all the color violently draining from his arrogant face. "What?! Dominic, be reasonable! I am your Director of Finance! I built this quarter's portfolio!"

"You didn't build anything," Dominic corrected ruthlessly, staring dead into Gregory's panicking eyes. "Norah built the portfolio. I reviewed the digital logs this morning. You have been actively stealing her financial models, presenting her analytics as your own, and systematically blocking her promotions for two years."

Norah gasped, looking up in sheer shock. She had suspected Gregory was taking credit for her work, but she had no idea the billionaire CEO had personally investigated it.

"That's a lie!" Gregory wailed hysterically, completely abandoning his sophisticated, elite persona. "She's a junior analyst! She doesn't know anything!"
