Chapter 8 - The Ultimate Humiliation

"Please, Dominic!" Gregory sobbed, dropping to his knees on the polished marble floor, completely humiliating himself in front of the entire corporate gala. "I have a mortgage! I have country club dues! You can't just fire me!"
Dominic looked down at the pathetic, weeping man. He didn't feel a single ounce of human mercy.
"I'm not just firing you, Gregory," Dominic whispered, leaning down slightly so his voice carried a terrifying, untouchable power. "My forensic accountants found the discrepancies in the offshore accounts you manage. You haven't just been stealing Norah's work. You have been actively embezzling from this firm."
Gregory stopped breathing. His tailored suit felt like a suffocating cage.
"Rocco," Dominic said without looking away from the kneeling thief. "Call the authorities. Tell them we have a suspect detained for felony corporate fraud."
Gregory let out a horrific, high-pitched shriek of pure, apocalyptic terror. He wasn't just losing his luxury lifestyle; he was going to federal prison.
"You can't do this to me!" Gregory screamed wildly, clawing at his own hair as two massive security guards violently grabbed his arms and hauled him to his feet.
"Get him out of my sight," Dominic commanded.
