Chapter 7 - The Suits Arrive

BANG.

The heavy mahogany doors of the private dining room were violently shoved open, shattering the intimate, candlelit atmosphere.

Garrett jumped, spinning around in his chair. He expected to see the restaurant manager or a nervous waiter apologizing for the interruption.

Instead, five towering, heavily built men marched into the room. They weren't wearing the restaurant's signature white serving coats. They were wearing crisp, dark tactical suits, earpieces curled tightly around their ears, and their eyes were locked with lethal intensity on the table.

Garrett’s initial shock rapidly morphed back into his signature, toxic arrogance.

He stood up, pointing an aggressive finger at the men, assuming they were the restaurant's private security detail responding to the noise of the thrown wine glass.

"It's about time you got here!" Garrett barked haughtily. "My wife is having a psychotic breakdown and causing a massive scene. Escort her out of this building immediately. I want her banned from this establishment."

Vivian adjusted her pearls, offering the men an entitled, dismissive wave. "And bring us a fresh bottle of wine once the trash is removed."

👉 Garrett’s smug smile began to falter as the men completely bypassed his wife and flanked him instead.
