Chapter 4 - The Challenge

Damon didn't shout. He didn't puff out his chest or throw an aggressive stance like a typical angry parent. He simply stared directly into the kickboxing champion's eyes, radiating an absolute, chilling calmness that was far more dangerous than yelling.
"Apologize to my son," Damon demanded. His voice was flat, steady, and carried the absolute, unyielding weight of a direct command.
Blake threw his head back and laughed. It was a loud, theatrical, deeply mocking laugh designed entirely to entertain the surrounding crowd of parents and students. He looked Damon up and down, openly sneering at the faded jeans, the grease-stained gray work shirt, and the battered work boots. He saw an overworked, tired blue-collar worker who had absolutely no business standing on a combat mat.
"Or what?" Blake mocked, stepping forward and aggressively invading Damon's personal space, trying to intimidate the older man with his impressive, muscular physique. "You're going to fix my plumbing? This is a combat gym, old man. People get hit. If your kid is too soft to take a kick, maybe he should take up ballet."
Damon did not flinch. He didn't take a single step backward. He just continued to stare at the arrogant champion with dead, completely unblinking eyes.
"I said, apologize to my son," Damon repeated, his voice dropping into a colder, deeply lethal register.
Blake smirked, raising his arms wide to the crowd, soaking in the tension.
"Step onto the mat and make me," Blake challenged arrogantly, pointing his finger directly at Damon's chest. "Let's show these kids what happens when you step out of your weight class."

The crowd instantly became interested again, lifting their mobile phones to record what they assumed would be a quick, embarrassing beatdown of an angry father.
