One year ago, Matteo had been involved in a horrific, highly suspicious car accident that claimed the life of his biological mother. The trauma was so severe that the five-year-old boy completely stopped speaking. He became a ghost in his own home, terrified of his own shadow, refusing to eat or sleep. Lucas had hired dozens of elite child psychologists, but nothing worked.
Then, Hannah arrived.
She wasn't just a nanny; she was a former pediatric nurse who had left the medical field after her own personal tragedy. She didn't treat Matteo like a broken billionaire heir. She treated him with fierce, unconditional, and entirely selfless love. She sat awake with him through his night terrors, held him when he cried, and slowly, miraculously, brought the little boy back to life.

Later that evening, while the guests mingled, Eleanor cornered Hannah in the darkened hallway near the kitchen.
