Chapter 6 - The Billionaire's Silence

The heavy, suffocating silence that followed the violent slap was absolutely deafening.
Hannah sat on the cold marble floor, her trembling hand pressing gently against her stinging, reddened cheek. She didn't cry hysterically. She didn't beg for mercy. She looked directly up at Lucas, her green eyes silently pleading for him to believe in her innocence.
Lucas didn't yell. He didn't immediately rush to help her up.
He stood perfectly still in his tailored dark suit, the intricate tattoo on his neck flexing rhythmically as he breathed. He looked at the massive diamond ring in the guard's hand, and then he looked down at the beautiful, bruised nanny.
To the wealthy elites in the room, his silence looked like absolute, disgusted agreement. They assumed the ruthless billionaire was calculating how to permanently destroy the servant who had dared to steal from his VIP guests.
"Have your men throw her out the window, Lucas!" Victoria sneered viciously, rubbing her hand after slapping the innocent woman. "She deserves to rot in a federal penitentiary! She is absolute, disgusting trash!"
"Call the authorities, Lucas," Eleanor demanded, crossing her arms with a deeply satisfied, smug smile. "Let them haul her away in handcuffs in front of Matteo, so the boy finally understands exactly what kind of monster she truly is."
But Hannah didn't break.

She slowly pushed herself off the marble floor, standing tall in her cheap green dress. Her natural micro-expressions shifted from profound devastation to a cold, chillingly calculated resolve. She wasn't just a poor, helpless victim. She was a fiercely intelligent woman who knew exactly how to protect herself from monsters.
👉 Hannah reached into her pocket, preparing to unleash a secret that would turn the entire penthouse into a slaughterhouse.
