The Arrogant Stepmother Humiliated the Waitress — Until the City's Deadliest Guard Dog Recognized His True Owner

"Take your hands off me, Vivian," Olivia whispered firmly, trying to pull her bruised arm away from the vicious woman's toxic grip.

"Shut your mouth, you pathetic little brat!" Vivian shrieked wildly, raising her free hand, entirely prepared to violently slap the young waitress directly across the face in front of the entire elite dining room.

But Vivian’s hand never made contact.

A horrific, bone-chilling snarl aggressively vibrated through the silent restaurant.

Orion didn't just stand up. The massive, midnight-black Cane Corso violently lunged forward, placing his heavy, muscular body directly between Olivia and the cruel stepmother. The beast bared his razor-sharp teeth, his piercing amber-brown eyes locking entirely onto Vivian with pure, unadulterated, demonic rage. The deep, guttural growl rumbling in his chest sounded like a heavy engine.

Vivian shrieked in absolute, breathless terror, physically staggering backward as her knees nearly buckled. She frantically tripped over her expensive heels, entirely realizing the dog was one second away from tearing her throat out to protect the waitress.

Dante didn't call the dog off. The terrifying mafia boss stood perfectly still, his sharp, highly observant eyes analyzing the entire chaotic scene with clinical precision.

"That's fascinating," Dante whispered coldly, his deep voice slicing right through the ambient noise of the room.

"Mr. Moretti, control your animal!" Vivian wailed hysterically, hiding behind one of the gold-trimmed dining chairs.

"You sold this dog to me six months ago, Vivian," Dante stated smoothly, crossing his arms over his tailored black suit. "You swore to me that you raised him from a puppy. You swore he was completely loyal to you."

Dante pointed a strong, steady finger directly at the massive beast currently shielding the waitress.
