Chapter 5 - The Silver Collar

The cinematic realism of the terrifying, suffocating tension completely paralyzed the upscale restaurant.
Vivian physically stopped breathing. The bright, warm cinematic lighting suddenly felt incredibly freezing. She looked like a desperate, cornered animal.
"I... I did raise him!" Vivian choked out, profound panic actively destroying her mind. "He's just confused! The girl must have fed him scraps from the kitchen! She's a manipulative little thief!"
"She's not a thief," Dante commanded flawlessly, entirely dominating the massive space. He looked directly at Olivia, his intense dark eyes radiating absolute, undeniable curiosity. "Are you, Olivia?"
Olivia didn't cower. She didn't look like a humiliated waitress anymore. She stood tall in her pink satin dress, gently placing her hand on Orion’s broad, muscular head to calm the beast.
"His name isn't Orion," Olivia stated clinically, her voice completely steady and fearless. "His name is Titan. My father bred him. I raised him from the day he was born, right up until the day my father died and my stepmother illegally sold him to you."
The wealthy, elegantly dressed guests gasped in absolute shock.
"You lying little witch!" Vivian roared aggressively, her face turning violently red. "Mr. Moretti, don't listen to her! She has absolutely no proof!"
"I have all the proof I need," Olivia whispered smoothly.
Olivia knelt down on the white-and-gray marble floor. She reached directly for the expensive wide black leather collar around the dog's thick neck. Dante’s bodyguards tensed, but Dante held up his hand, ordering them to let her proceed.
Olivia pressed a highly specific, hidden sequence on the heavy silver circular ornaments decorating the collar.
