Chapter 6 - The Musician's Evidence

"It gets worse," June whispered, tears of pure, unadulterated anger filling her eyes as she watched the kind, generous man shatter.

June reached back into her clutch and pulled out a sleek, black USB drive.

"When she was screaming on the phone in the bridal suite," June explained quickly, "she was talking to your Chief Financial Officer. He is the one who gave her the bypass codes to your servers. I recorded the entire conversation on my audio equipment while I was tuning the piano."

Theodore physically stopped breathing. The air in the grand ballroom was completely sucked out. His own trusted CFO, a man he had known for a decade, had actively conspired with his vicious fiancée to completely destroy his life.

Theodore slowly lowered the financial documents. The devastated, abandoned groom completely vanished, violently replaced by a terrifying, untouchable apex predator. He looked at the beautiful musician standing in front of him.

She was a complete stranger, a hired piano player earning a few hundred dollars for the night, and she had just handed him the exact weapons he needed to save his empire and completely annihilate his enemies.

"Why did you stay, June?" Theodore asked smoothly, his dark eyes radiating profound, intense respect.
