Chapter 4 - The Warning

Medium shot: Eleanor slowly bent down, her knees aching slightly as she brought herself directly to Lucas's eye level.
Her hands were trembling violently as she gently touched her grandson's navy blue suit jacket. She looked into his serious, intense brown eyes, terrified that the boy was about to do something reckless that would cause Claire to signal the sniper.
"Lucas... sweetie, please," Eleanor whispered, her voice cracking with deep, agonizing panic and raw desperation. "You have to stop. Just smile for the camera. Please, do it for me. We have to be smart."
The Bride watched them from just a few feet away, her white lace dress sweeping the marble floor. She didn't approach them, but her cold, unblinking stare acted like a physical leash, reminding Eleanor of the deadly consequences of disobedience.
Lucas didn't flinch. He didn't cry. He looked at his grandmother with a profound, terrifying maturity that completely broke Eleanor's heart.
"I'm not stopping, Grandma," Lucas whispered back, his small voice incredibly steady, carrying a quiet, unshakable resolve. "Mom didn't leave us. And she's going to get justice today."
Eleanor’s breath caught in her throat. She realized with sheer, paralyzing horror that little Lucas hadn't been helpless at all. He had spent the last two weeks executing a meticulous, highly dangerous plan of his own.
Before Eleanor could grab his hand and try to pull him away, the Bride’s cold, demanding voice interrupted them from across the hall.
