Chapter 6 - The Stripping of the Queen

Leo looked down at the pathetic, weeping woman in the red dress. He felt absolutely zero pity. She had tortured the woman who gave him life.
"Marco," Leo commanded, his gaze never leaving Victoria.
"Yes, Boss."
"Take off her necklace," Leo ordered.
Victoria gasped, her hands flying up to protect the massive diamond drop necklace resting against her collarbone. "No! Leo, please, it was an engagement gift! You gave this to me!"
Marco didn't hesitate. The massive guard stepped forward, grabbed the necklace, and violently snapped the heavy clasp. The diamonds fell into his hand like shattered ice.
"The earrings," Leo demanded.
Crying hysterically, Victoria struggled to unhook the diamond drop earrings, her hands shaking so violently she scratched her own neck. She dropped them onto the marble floor.
"You came into my life with absolutely nothing, Victoria," Leo said, his voice carrying the finality of a judge delivering a death sentence. "And you are leaving with exactly that. You don't own the cars. You don't own the penthouse. I am freezing every single account with your name on it."
"You can't leave me with nothing!" Victoria shrieked, dropping her head onto the floor. "I'll be on the streets! I have nowhere to go!"
Leo slowly reached down and picked up the shattered stem of a broken wine glass from the tablecloth.
