"Mr. Sterling... please!" Vance wailed pathetically, all his arrogant, toxic authority violently collapsing into dust. "I didn't know! You were wearing a uniform! I thought you were just a waiter!"
"I have been wearing this uniform for three weeks," Harlan revealed flawlessly, entirely devoid of human empathy for the monster on the floor.
The cinematic realization crashed over the room. The billionaire hadn't just dressed up for fun. It was a highly calculated, meticulously planned undercover sting operation.
"I wanted to see exactly how my management team treats my employees and my guests when they think nobody powerful is watching," Harlan stated, his voice ringing with unstoppable justice. "And you failed the test miserably."
Vance hyperventilated, reaching out with trembling, sweaty hands. "I was just protecting the gala! The elite guests demand perfection! I did it for the company!"
"You did it because you are a pathetic, arrogant bully," Harlan corrected lethally. "You physically assaulted an employee. You publicly humiliated a disabled woman. You are the exact reason this company’s reputation has been plummeting."
Harlan didn't yell. He snapped his fingers.
