Chapter 7 - The Eviction

"Remove him," Harlan commanded smoothly, pointing directly at the weeping manager on the floor.
"Mr. Sterling, have mercy!" Vance shrieked like a feral banshee, thrashing and kicking wildly as the two massive security guards grabbed his expensive suit jacket, hauling him violently to his feet.
"You are officially terminated, Vance," Harlan announced loudly. "And I am personally submitting the security footage of your assault tonight to the police. You are never going to work in this industry again."
The security guards dragged the hysterical, panicking manager right across the pristine dance floor. His desperate, pathetic cries echoed off the marble walls, ending his reign of psychological cruelty and arrogance forever.
The heavy mahogany doors of the ballroom slammed shut behind him.
The grand ballroom fell into a profound, heavy, and incredibly peaceful silence.
The elite guests, utterly terrified that they had just witnessed a billionaire ruthlessly execute his own manager, stood completely frozen. Several wealthy couples who had been whispering cruel things about Audrey quietly slipped out the side doors, terrified they would be targeted next.
Harlan completely ignored the wealthy crowd.
