Chapter 3 - The VIP Command

The cinematic realism of the tension paralyzed the dining room.

Emma desperately turned around, praying she could just disappear through the swinging kitchen doors before the manager found her lingering on the floor.

"Emma," Roman’s deep voice echoed again, freezing her instantly in her tracks.

A tight close-up captured Roman. He didn't raise his voice. He didn't cause a massive public scene. He simply looked at the terrified waitress and subtly, gracefully gestured to the empty, expensive leather chair directly across from him at the VIP table.

"Sit down," Roman commanded, his tone completely devoid of any room for negotiation.

A medium close-up captured Emma. She completely froze, her breath catching in her throat as she stared at him in absolute, unadulterated shock.

"Sir, I... I can't do that," Emma stammered, frantically looking over her shoulder toward the kitchen. "I'm not allowed to sit with the guests. My manager will kill me."

"Your manager," Roman replied coldly, taking a slow sip of his bourbon, "is currently standing directly behind you."

Emma physically flinched. The heavy, aggressive sound of expensive leather shoes stomping across the hardwood floor echoed behind her.

David, the massive, cruel general manager, stormed into the dining room. His face was flushed with toxic, unearned arrogance. He saw Emma standing near the billionaire’s table and his temper violently flared. He completely ignored the elite guests around them, marching straight up to the young waitress.

"What are you still doing on my floor?" David hissed viciously, violently grabbing Emma’s arm.

👉 David thought he was in total control, completely blind to the fact that he had just touched a woman protected by the devil himself.
