Chapter 35 - the invisible snare

The Obsidian hackers greedily continued their digital assault, completely unaware they were being brilliantly outmaneuvered. As they bypassed Mia's intentionally weakened secondary firewall, the rogue algorithm flooded into a highly contained, isolated server mimicking the conglomerate's primary offshore bank accounts.

The Council thought they had won the war. Instead, the trap snapped shut with devastating, catastrophic finality. Mia’s viral counter-code didn't just lock the enemy virus out; it violently surged back through its own connection, systematically overloading and destroying the incredibly expensive hardware of the Council's global network.

The hacker announced with absolute, triumphant authority that they had found the physical location. The central authentication server was located in a heavily fortified, abandoned subterranean military bunker hidden deep in the snowy mountains of the Swiss Alps.
