Chapter 1 - The First Words

The grand ballroom was a breathtaking, cinematic masterpiece of extreme wealth. Warm, golden lighting reflected flawlessly off the highly polished, highly reflective marble floor. A live jazz band played a soft, melodic rhythm in the background as the city's elite mingled in blurred, expensive circles.
But in a quiet, isolated corner of the opulent room, a deeply emotional scene was unfolding.
Emily, a beautiful woman in her mid-twenties, crouched gracefully on the floor. Her blonde hair was pinned in an elegant updo, but she was wearing a stunning, incredibly out-of-place white silk dress with a high slit. She gently held the trembling hands of Noah, a teenage boy with messy brown hair wearing a sharp black tuxedo. Noah was sitting quietly in a heavy medical wheelchair.
Emily swayed his hands gently to the unseen rhythm of the jazz music, offering him a warm, protective, and profoundly tender smile.
A close-up captured Noah’s face. For the first time in three years, the paralyzed, heavily traumatized teenager smiled warmly. He looked up at Emily, his brown eyes shining with unshed tears.
"We danced," Noah whispered, his voice incredibly raspy and fragile from years of absolute silence.
A wide shot captured Dominic, Noah’s billionaire father in his early forty's wearing a tailored black tuxedo, standing just a few feet away. His stoic, ruthless face violently broke into an expression of profound, paralyzing shock and breathless wonder. His son had just spoken.
Noah looked at his father with a faint, playful smile. "Emily dances badly."
Dominic stepped forward, his heart hammering violently against his ribs. He stared intensely at the blonde woman, deeply moved.
