Chapter 4 - The Hidden Boyfriend

Megan clicked on the text message thread between Grant and Kelsey.
What she read was a masterclass in toxic, disgusting entitlement.
From Kelsey: Rick is getting impatient. He told me he absolutely does not do kids. If I don't move into his place in Denver by Saturday, he's breaking up with me.
To Kelsey: Don't worry about it. I transferred the 40k for your half of the condo deposit today. Just pack your bags. I'll handle Ruby and Finn.
From Kelsey: What about Megan? She hates when my kids make a mess.
To Kelsey: Megan will throw a fit, but she's a pushover. Once you're on the plane, she can't exactly throw them out on the street. She loves being a mom, she'll get over it. Thanks for being brave, sis.
Megan stared at the glowing screen.
Kelsey wasn't moving to Denver for a career opportunity. She was permanently abandoning her two innocent children to chase after a wealthy, child-hating boyfriend. And Grant was actively funding her delusion with Megan’s hard-earned money, treating his wife like a disposable, pathetic doormat who would just quietly absorb the burden.
