Chapter 10 - The Ultimate Justice

The chaotic, violent energy was physically dragged out of the beautiful lakeside estate.

Eleanor, Chloe, and the father were forced out of the mahogany doors with nothing but the clothes on their backs. They stood shivering on the driveway, completely bankrupt and utterly humiliated, watching their golden boy get shoved into the back of a squad car.

Ms. Sterling didn't watch them leave.

She stood in the center of her pristine, luxurious kitchen. Her private cleaning staff arrived immediately, quietly and professionally wiping the spilled coffee off the white marble floor, erasing every last trace of Arthur Vance's existence.

Six months later, justice was served with absolute perfection.

Arthur was sentenced to five years in a state penitentiary for the assault. Without Ms. Sterling’s hidden money, his business completely collapsed into federal bankruptcy. His snobby family was forced to move into a tiny, rundown apartment on the outskirts of the city, surviving entirely on meager social security checks.

Ms. Sterling never wore the gold ring again. She managed her massive international equity firm with absolute grace, fierce independence, and undeniable compassion.

If you were Ms. Sterling, would you have warned Arthur about the cameras, or was letting him assault her on tape the absolute perfect revenge?
