Chapter 4 - The Security Camera

Ms. Sterling slowly shifted her gaze toward the top corner of the massive kitchen.
Mounted discreetly above the custom white pantry cabinetry was a small, high-definition security camera. Its tiny red light blinked steadily, silently recording every single microsecond of the brutal assault in 4K resolution.
Ms. Sterling placed her hand flat against the white marble counter and slowly, deliberately pulled herself up from the floor. She ignored the coffee staining her ivory satin dress. She ignored the stinging heat radiating from her cheek.
Eleanor, sitting at the breakfast table, followed her daughter-in-law’s intense gaze up to the ceiling.
The wealthy matriarch let out a cold, dismissive laugh, elegantly adjusting her pearl necklace.
"Don't bother looking up there, sweetheart," Eleanor sneered, her voice echoing with absolute, untouchable arrogance. "Those cameras belong to us. The security team works for Arthur. If you think you're going to use that footage to extort a better divorce settlement, you are completely delusional. That footage will be deleted before you even pack your bags."
Arthur smirked, rolling his shoulders comfortably in his navy suit. He felt like an invincible king in his castle.

"You have nothing," Arthur reminded her coldly. "You signed the prenup. You leave with exactly what you came with."
👉 Ms. Sterling stood perfectly still, preparing to deliver a revelation that would shatter their entire fake billionaire reality.
