Chapter 4 - The Garage Camera

Sitting in the back of her accessible van as it drove away from the wet city street, Natalie pulled her encrypted tablet from her bag.

Her private investigator hadn't just followed Grant to the hotel. While Grant was busy drinking champagne with Vanessa, the investigator had legally accessed the cloud backup of Natalie’s own home security system—specifically, a hidden camera in the garage that Grant didn't know existed.

The footage was from the night before her horrific crash.

The cinematic realism of the video made Natalie’s blood run absolutely ice cold.

The black-and-white night vision footage clearly showed Grant sneaking into their dark garage at 2:00 AM. He was wearing black gloves and holding a heavy pair of industrial wire cutters. He slid directly under Natalie’s luxury SUV. He spent exactly four minutes under the chassis, systematically slicing through the primary and secondary brake lines.

He hadn't just cheated on her. He had meticulously, intentionally tried to murder her.

Natalie stopped breathing. The agonizing physical pain in her shattered collarbone was completely eclipsed by a dark, unyielding, and utterly demonic fury.

Grant didn't just want a divorce. He wanted to inherit her fifty-million-dollar tech empire and her massive life insurance payout so he could live like a king with his mistress.
