Chapter 5 - The Medical Trap

The very next morning, the toxic reality of Grant’s backup plan was violently set into motion.

Assuming Natalie was just a heartbroken, physically broken woman, Grant launched a massive, aggressive legal strike. He filed emergency court documents seeking a full medical conservatorship over Natalie.

He submitted heavily doctored medical opinions claiming that Natalie’s head injury had left her "psychologically unstable, heavily medicated, and entirely incompetent" to run her own tech company. He used her confrontation at the hotel as "proof" of her paranoid delusions.

His goal was incredibly sinister: if the court declared her incompetent, Grant would gain absolute, unquestioned legal control over her massive corporate shares, her bank accounts, and her entire medical care.

"She is completely incapacitated," Grant arrogantly told the judge during a preliminary closed-door hearing. "As her husband, it is my tragic duty to step in as acting CEO to protect her legacy."

Because Natalie was entirely silent, refusing to answer his calls or fight back publicly, the corporate board of her company panicked. Believing their brilliant founder was actually brain-damaged, they scheduled an emergency shareholder meeting to officially hand the keys of the empire over to Grant.
