Chapter 2 - The Queen Descends

Claire looked absolutely breathtaking. She was a woman in her thirties with long, flawless blonde wavy hair, wearing a sharp, custom-tailored white corset-style pantsuit and towering white heels. She held a sleek white designer handbag. She didn't look like a weeping, abandoned housewife. She looked like an untouchable, lethal queen descending from her throne.

And she wasn't alone.

Flanking her tightly on both sides as she walked down the metal stairs were four massive, highly trained private bodyguards wearing dark suits and black sunglasses.

Ethan stepped back nervously from Madison, practically tripping over the expensive heels of his mistress. He was completely, utterly paralyzed. He had specifically booked this jet under a highly encrypted, untraceable shell company. Claire was supposed to be at a luxury spa in the Hamptons right now, completely oblivious to his massive financial theft.

Claire confidently walked toward them, her white heels clicking sharply against the hot tarmac. Her realistic micro-expressions didn't show a single ounce of sorrow, panic, or heartbreak. She looked entirely cold, calculated, and beautifully unbothered.

She stopped just a few feet away from the trembling couple, letting her bodyguards form a protective wall behind her.

"Have a safe flight," Claire stated smoothly, offering a cold, merciless, cinematic smile.

Madison sneered. The mistress crossed her arms, desperately trying to maintain her arrogant, high-society facade in front of the rightful wife.

"How did you find us, Claire?" Madison mocked, rolling her eyes. "It doesn't matter. You're too late. Ethan already transferred the money this morning. We are leaving, and you are getting nothing."

Claire didn't even look at the woman in the red dress. She kept her piercing, intelligent eyes locked entirely on her panicking husband.
