Chapter 10 - The Sunset Justice

"This is a setup!" Trevor cried hysterically, her voluminous hair blowing wildly in the tropical breeze as she realized she was completely powerless. "Callie, get your bags! We are leaving this instant! We are annulling this marriage!"
"Gladly!" Callie spat, glaring at Corey with pure venom before storming off the lawn, leaving him standing entirely alone and utterly ruined.
Trevor didn't look back. She marched furiously toward the lobby, her coral-pink outfit a beacon of defeat, knowing she now had to drag all eleven heavy suitcases out of the resort by herself.
Corey stood at the base of the wooden platform, tears of regret pooling in his eyes. He had lost his wife, his fake wealth, and his dignity in less than ten minutes. He looked up at Evelyn, silently begging for a second chance.
Evelyn didn't smile, but she didn't scowl either. She looked at her son with calm, intelligent eyes, hoping this brutal lesson would finally make him a real man.
She turned away, gracefully stepping down from the other side of the platform to mingle with the respectful, elite guests. The golden sunset light caught her deep teal blazer, radiating an aura of quiet, unbreakable authority. The resort staff watched her with profound admiration, knowing their boss would always protect them.

The majestic palm trees swayed in the warm Hawaiian breeze, and justice was finally, flawlessly served.
Do you think Evelyn was right to completely humiliate her son and his in-laws, or should she have forgiven them behind closed doors?
