Chapter 8 - The Phone Contained More Than the Christmas Recording

When Rosalie grabbed my phone, a notification was already visible.
Security Event Uploaded.
She had seen it.
That was why Callum’s face changed when I told him he had been wrong.
The footage existed elsewhere.
But my phone held something even more important.
Rosalie had sent me evidence that morning.
Photographs.
Screenshots.
A short audio recording.
One message from Callum read:
If you take the kids and go to your mother, I’ll make sure everyone knows you’re unstable.
Another:
Your family only hears what you tell them because I’ve been protecting you from yourself.
Then an audio clip.
Callum’s voice:
“You leave this house without me and I will come get you.”
Rosalie could be heard asking:
“Is that a threat?”
Callum answered:
“Call it whatever makes you feel dramatic.”
I had already downloaded everything.
Stored copies with my attorney.
Callum did not know that.
He believed the dining-room camera was the evidence.
It wasn’t.
May you like
It was only the first evidence he created himself.
