Chapter 5 - The Lethal Judgment

Marcus gagged, his face turning purple as Jude’s massive hand squeezed his throat.

"I kill men for stealing my money," Jude stated flawlessly, entirely devoid of human empathy for the man choking in his grip. "But I completely annihilate men who sell their children."

Jude didn't even look at his enforcers. He simply gave a subtle, cinematic nod toward the door.

"Take him to the harbor," Jude commanded coldly. "And make sure the concrete is heavy. He isn't coming back."

"No! Please!" Marcus shrieked hysterically as Jude violently threw him into the arms of the massive enforcers. "Elena! Tell him to stop! I'm your husband!"

Elena didn't scream. She didn't beg for his life. She wrapped her arms tightly around herself, staring at the monster who had terrorized her for five years.

"You aren't a husband," Elena replied quietly. "You are just a dead man."

The enforcers dragged the weeping, pathetic coward out of the penthouse, ending his reign of psychological cruelty, gambling, and abuse forever. His desperate screams faded down the hallway.

The massive luxury office fell into a profound, heavy, and incredibly peaceful silence.
