Chapter 7 - The Mistress Exiled

Marcus slowly stood up from his leather chair. He looked at the beautiful, shallow woman standing in his office. He looked at the designer bags she was holding—bags paid for with the money he should have been spending on his wife and his unborn child.

The intoxicating illusion of his affair shattered into a million repulsive pieces.

"Get out," Marcus whispered, his voice a low, dangerous rumble.

Chloe scoffed, tossing her blonde hair. "Excuse me? I am not leaving until you fix my credit cards, Marcus. You promised me a shopping spree!"

Marcus didn't scream. He moved with explosive, terrifying speed. He crossed the room, grabbed the designer shopping bags out of her hands, and violently threw them out into the hallway.

"I lost my wife!" Marcus roared, the sheer volume of his voice shaking the office windows. "I lost my child! Because I was in a hotel room with a parasite like you! Get out of my house before I throw you off this balcony!"

Chloe shrieked in sheer terror, backing away from the furious billionaire. She realized he wasn't playing a game. She turned on her expensive heels and sprinted out of the penthouse, ending her reign of greed forever.

Marcus fell to his knees in the empty office, clutching the tiny 12-week ultrasound photo to his chest, sobbing uncontrollably.

But the ruthless mafia instincts that built his empire wouldn't let him surrender. He looked up at his Security Chief, his eyes burning with a desperate, dark fire.
