Chapter 3 - The Ghost's Name

"Her name is Elena," Lily answered simply.
The name hit Dominic with the kinetic force of a sniper's bullet.
Elena. His beautiful, pregnant wife who had tragically perished in a massive car bombing four years ago—the exact same explosion that had permanently taken Dominic’s eyesight.
Isabella, who was Elena’s older sister, let out a hysterical, panicked shriek.
"She is lying!" Isabella screamed, completely abandoning her chic, high-society facade. She lunged forward, desperately trying to snatch the torn photograph from Dominic’s hand. "Elena is dead! We buried her! This child is a scammer planted by a rival cartel!"
With blinding, lethal speed, Dominic’s left hand shot out, grabbing Isabella by the throat of her expensive white suit jacket. He didn't choke her, but he held her suspended, completely paralyzing her.
"If you touch this child, I will snap your neck," Dominic promised, his voice devoid of any human mercy.
He let go of Isabella, letting her stumble backward against the black iron fence.
Dominic turned his head toward his massive security detail waiting near the park entrance. "Marcus!"
His towering head of security sprinted over.
"Put Isabella in the trunk of the second SUV. Do not let her speak. Do not let her use her phone," Dominic commanded coldly. He then turned his face back toward the little girl, his expression softening into a desperate vulnerability.

"Lily," Dominic whispered. "Can you take me to your Mama?"
👉 Dominic climbed into the armored vehicle, completely unaware that his own fiancée had already set a deadly trap in motion.
