Chapter 7 - The Blind King's Wrath

BANG.
Marcus fired a single shot into the hallway breaker box. Sparks rained down, and the entire third floor was instantly plunged into absolute, pitch-black darkness.
The hitmen kicked open the apartment door, their flashlights frantically sweeping the room. But they were completely unprepared for a monster who didn't need light to hunt.
Dominic moved with blinding, lethal precision. Every footstep the hitmen took, every breath they drew, every shift of their tactical gear echoed like a siren in Dominic’s highly tuned ears.
Pop. Pop.
Dominic fired twice into the dark, instantly dropping the first two assassins perfectly through the chest.
"He's in the corner!" one of the hitmen screamed, spraying bullets wildly into the walls.
Dominic had already seamlessly shifted across the room. He stepped up behind the shouting man, grabbing his tactical vest with his massive tattooed hand, and violently snapped his neck. He used the dead man's body as a shield as the remaining assassins opened fire.
In less than three minutes, the dark apartment was a symphony of brutal, flawless executions. Dominic moved like a ghost, dismantling the heavily armed squad with chilling, robotic efficiency. He counted their heartbeats. He anticipated their panic.
Silence finally fell over the bloody room.
"Marcus?" Dominic called out calmly in the dark.
"Clear, Boss," Marcus breathed heavily from the doorway.
Dominic wiped a drop of blood from his cheek. He turned toward the kitchen counter, where Elena and Lily were huddled safely.
"Are you hurt?" Dominic asked softly.
