Chapter 6 - The Hitmen in the Hall

"I would burn the entire world to ashes before I ever hurt you," Dominic vowed softly, kissing her scarred cheek.

Before he could say another word, the heavy wooden stairs outside the apartment groaned under the weight of multiple men.

Marcus, Dominic’s loyal security chief, stepped quickly into the room, his suppressed weapon already drawn. "Boss. We have a massive problem. Isabella managed to send an SOS text from her smartwatch before we threw her in the trunk. A hit squad from the rival Chicago cartel just entered the building. We are completely outgunned."

Isabella had known her lies were exposed. She had immediately called in a favor from the syndicate’s greatest enemies, ordering a complete massacre to wipe out Dominic, Elena, and Lily in one brutal sweep.

"How many?" Dominic asked, standing up to his full, towering height.

"At least twelve heavily armed men," Marcus replied grimly. "They're coming up the stairwell now."

Elena grabbed Lily, pulling her behind the kitchen counter in sheer terror.

Dominic didn't panic. He calmly unbuttoned his suit jacket, letting it drop to the floor. He pulled two heavy, custom handguns from his shoulder holsters.

"Marcus," Dominic commanded, his voice dropping into a dark, demonic register. "Shoot the electrical breaker box in the hallway. Now."

"Boss, you won't be able to see—"

"I haven't seen the sun in four years," Dominic interrupted coldly. "Kill the lights. I want them in my world."

👉 The lights violently shattered, and the blind mafia boss prepared to unleash an absolute massacre in the dark.
