Chapter 6 - The Frozen Empire

The heavy jet engines roared to life, and the Gulfstream taxied down the runway, leaving Julian and Chloe entirely stranded on the freezing tarmac.
"Do something!" Chloe shrieked hysterically, violently hitting Julian’s arm. "Call the bank! We need to get to Geneva today or the offshore transfer will expire!"
Julian was hyperventilating. The cinematic realism of his sheer, apocalyptic terror was breathtaking.
This wasn't just a missed vacation. Julian had secretly forged Eleanor's signature on a massive Power of Attorney document. He had initiated a fifty-million-dollar wire transfer to a shadow account in Switzerland. But the Swiss bank required in-person biometric verification by 5:00 PM today to finalize the theft.
Driven by pure, animalistic desperation, Julian pulled his phone out and furiously dialed his elite private banker.
"Marcus! Book me two first-class commercial tickets to Geneva right now!" Julian screamed into the phone. "Put it on my platinum corporate card!"
There was a long, agonizing pause on the line.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Vance," the banker replied, his voice laced with pity. "Your corporate card has been declined. In fact, all of your accounts are currently frozen."
Julian’s knees physically buckled. "What do you mean, frozen?!"

"Mrs. Vance contacted our fraud department ten minutes ago," the banker explained coldly. "She revoked your executive access, flagged your recent wire transfers as criminal forgery, and liquidated your trust fund. You have exactly zero dollars to your name, sir."
👉 Julian realized his grandmother hadn't just kicked him off a plane—she had completely destroyed his life from 40,000 feet.
