Chapter 8 - The Ultimate Respect

Hannah was standing completely still, trembling slightly. She was terrified she was going to be fired for causing a massive scene in front of the city's elite.
Luca completely bypassed the arrogance of his immense wealth and terrifying power.
He didn't look at her like a maid. He looked at her with profound, earth-shattering gratitude and deep, unshakeable respect.
"You stood up for my mother when my own blood wouldn't," Luca stated smoothly, his deep voice carrying a fiercely protective warmth.
Hannah swallowed hard, lowering her eyes. "She reminded me of my grandmother, sir. I couldn't just let her freeze."
Luca reached into his tailored suit jacket and pulled out a heavy, laser-engraved titanium keycard. He handed it directly to her.
"You don't wear a uniform anymore, Hannah," Luca promised quietly, a fierce, unbreakable vow. "You are now the Executive Manager of this entire estate. I am tripling your salary, and you answer to absolutely no one but me. Anyone who disrespects you deals with me."
Hannah gasped, covering her mouth with her hands as tears of pure, overwhelming joy and relief fell from her eyes. The massive, suffocating weight of living paycheck to paycheck completely lifted from her shoulders.
In the months that followed, Luca completely overhauled his syndicate, ensuring absolute, unbreakable loyalty within his inner circle. He moved his mother back into the master wing, renovating it into a massive, luxurious suite.
