Chapter 6 - The Boss's Wrath

Damiano didn't dive for cover. He didn't run away from the office doors to save his own life.
With blinding, explosive speed, the tall, muscular mafia boss stepped instantly in front of the mother and child. He planted his polished leather shoes firmly on the marble floor, positioning his broad, suit-clad body as an impenetrable human shield between the explosive device and the cowering maid.
He locked eyes with his treacherous fiancée. The calm, composed businessman completely vanished. His expression transformed into a mask of absolute, murderous rage. The apex predator of the city had been awakened.
"Drop it!" Damiano roared.
His voice didn't just echo; it shook the very foundations of the mansion. The sheer, overwhelming dominance and absolute authority in his command made the elite bodyguards flinch.
Victoria actually stepped backward, intimidated by the sheer force of his wrath. For a fraction of a second, the blonde woman in the ivory gown hesitated, terrified of the monster she had just unleashed. But the fear of his vengeance overrode her hesitation. She knew if she didn't press the button, she was a dead woman anyway.
