Chapter 5 - The Ignorant Mockery

The entire grand ballroom was paralyzed by the profound, breathtaking vulnerability unfolding on the marble floor.
But Tyler was a vicious, sociopathic monster who absolutely refused to lose control of the room. He stomped forward in his expensive tuxedo, desperately trying to keep his cruel joke going.
"She can't dance, genius," Tyler sneered loudly, scoffing in the background as he pointed a manicured finger at her wheelchair. "She's paralyzed. Are you completely stupid, or just blind?"
Nobody in the crowd laughed. The toxic joke had completely expired, leaving Tyler looking like an unhinged, pathetic bully.
A tight close-up focused entirely on Sam’s face. He didn't yell at Tyler. He didn't turn around to defend his honor. He completely ignored the pathetic man in the tuxedo, rendering him absolutely invisible.
Sam kept his dark, intense eyes locked entirely on Audrey. His realistic facial micro-expressions radiated a quiet, profound empathy that pierced straight through her soul.
"Finding someone you actually want to dance with is harder," Sam whispered softly, speaking with such quiet, devastating sincerity that the words echoed flawlessly through the silent room.
