Chapter 4 - The Black Gift Box

The two heavily armed, impeccably dressed men completely ignored the arrogant heiress in the center of the shop. They walked directly up to the wooden counter and gently placed a massive, luxurious black gift box right in front of Beatrice.

Vanessa scoffed loudly. "What is this? Are they repossessing your pathetic store?"

Beatrice completely ignored her. With shaking fingers, she slowly lifted the heavy black lid. Inside, resting on a bed of black silk, was a breathtaking, custom-made midnight-blue floor-length evening gown dripping with sparkling, delicate details.

But it wasn't just the dress that made Beatrice stop breathing.

Resting on top of the gown was an exclusive, VIP gold-foil invitation to the Metropolitan Winter Gala. Tucked beneath the invitation were heavy, legally notarized financial documents. Beatrice’s expressive brown eyes widened in absolute, apocalyptic shock as she read the bank statements. Her father's massive, multi-million-dollar debt had been paid in full. The balance was exactly zero.

"Your debt is settled, Miss Monroe," one of the suited men stated respectfully, bowing his head. "We expect to see you tonight."

Vanessa’s face turned violently pale. She stared at the VIP invitation—the highest tier of elite access—and stormed out of the shop in a jealous, toxic rage.

👉 Beatrice covered her mouth, completely unaware that the man who sent the box was waiting to execute a flawless trap.
