Chapter 5 - The Gala Ambush

The magnificent Metropolitan Winter Gala was a breathtaking display of opulent, cinematic grandeur. Enormous glittering crystal chandeliers cast a rich, golden light over the polished marble floors. Hundreds of elegantly dressed, incredibly wealthy guests sipped champagne among towering white floral arrangements.

But the entire room seemed to hold its breath when Beatrice walked through the grand golden doors.

She looked absolutely breathtaking. The midnight-blue evening gown hugged her curvy, feminine figure perfectly, the delicate details sparkling like stars under the chandeliers. Her chestnut-brown hair was styled in soft, glamorous waves.

Standing near the center of the room was Vanessa, wearing her extravagant red gown. Next to her was her father, Richard—a distinguished, wealthy man in his late sixties with neatly combed silver hair and a dark burgundy bow tie.

When Vanessa saw Beatrice radiating pure, undeniable elegance, her toxic jealousy violently flared.

"Security!" Vanessa hissed loudly, aggressively pointing her manicured finger at Beatrice. "What is a bankrupt florist doing at an elite gala? Throw this trash out immediately! She clearly forged that invitation!"

Richard sneered, stepping forward to back his arrogant daughter. They fully intended to publicly humiliate Beatrice and drag her out of the ballroom in disgrace.

👉 The cruel laughter of the elite crowd was suddenly silenced by the arrival of the most feared titan in the city.
