Chapter 7 - The Final Audit

"A restaurant's reputation is built on hospitality, not discrimination," Daniel commanded flawlessly, picking up the heavy phone from the table.
"Sterling," Daniel said into the device. "Initiate a complete, immediate forensic audit of this location. I want every single transaction from the last two years pulled. If there is a single dollar missing, I want her charged with federal embezzlement."
"It's already done, Mr. Vance," Sterling replied efficiently. "The police have been dispatched. They will be arriving in exactly two minutes to escort her off the premises."
Vanessa let out a horrific, high-pitched scream of pure, unadulterated terror. She completely lost her mind.
"You can't do this to me!" Vanessa shrieked hysterically, lunging toward the red leather booth in a desperate, feral panic. "I built this place! I know everyone in this city! I will ruin you!"
The massive security guards, instantly recognizing exactly who paid their salaries, aggressively grabbed the screaming manager by the arms. They didn't care about her sharp designer suit. They forcefully hauled her backward, restraining her completely before she could even get close to the little girl in the pink sweater.
"Get her out of my sight," Daniel ordered coldly.
