The Arrogant Stepfather Humiliated the Orphaned Girl at the Gala — Until the General Arrived With the Military Dog

Medium shot: Lily’s breath completely hitched in her throat. The heavy, agonizing sorrow entirely vanished from her innocent face, instantly and violently replaced by a profound, overwhelming, and utterly impossible hope.

She completely ignored her furious stepfather. She didn't care about the hundreds of wealthy guests staring at her.

Lily dropped completely down to her knees on the cold, white marble floor, bringing herself directly down to the massive German Shepherd's eye level. Her tiny hands were trembling violently as she reached out toward the massive dog.

She was still gently holding her heavy silver eagle necklace in one hand.

As the little girl leaned closer, the bright light from the crystal chandeliers perfectly illuminated the thick, dark blue tactical harness wrapped tightly around the German Shepherd's muscular chest.

Pinned securely to the center of the heavy nylon harness, gleaming brightly in the elegant light, was an absolutely identical, perfectly matching silver eagle emblem.

It wasn't just a random military dog. It was Titan. It was her father's legendary, fiercely loyal K9 partner, the very dog who had survived the horrific ambush that took her father's life two years ago.

Titan gently pushed his massive, warm head directly against Lily's small chest, nuzzling softly against the silver eagle necklace hanging around her neck, perfectly recognizing the scent of his fallen handler's absolute greatest treasure.

"Titan..." Lily whispered, her tiny voice cracking with profound, overwhelming emotion as she stared at the matching silver emblem.

Arthur’s face turned an ugly shade of red. He completely lost his temper, aggressively stepping forward and reaching out to physically grab the little girl by her arm. "I said get away from that filthy animal right now!"
