Chapter 2 - The Cold Request

A tight close-up shifted to Sebastian. He didn't immediately push the woman in the red dress away.
Instead, he slowly looked over his shoulder, locking his dark eyes with Elizabeth. His handsome face was completely tense. There was a brief, almost invisible flicker of guilt in his eyes, but it was immediately swallowed by toxic, arrogant entitlement. He was a man who was used to getting exactly what he wanted.
"Elizabeth," Sebastian said casually, his deep voice carrying clearly across the highly reflective marble floor. "Give me a minute."
The blurred guests in the background collectively gasped in horror. The absolute audacity of the groom—asking his beautiful bride to wait while he comforted his mistress right next to the altar—was suffocating.
Elizabeth didn't scream. She didn't dissolve into a hysterical puddle of tears. The cinematic realism of her total restraint was infinitely more powerful and terrifying.
A tight close-up captured Elizabeth’s face. A single, heavy tear escaped, rolling slowly down her pale cheek. But as it fell, her heartbroken expression didn't crumble. It violently hardened. The loving, devoted fiancée completely vanished, replaced by an ice-cold, unbreakable resolve.
"I'm done," Elizabeth whispered, her voice slicing through the heavy tension of the penthouse like a surgical scalpel.
She opened her hands. The pristine white rose bouquet dropped, hitting the polished marble floor with a dull, heavy thud.
