Chapter 1 - The Wedding Ultimatum

The grand Beverly Hills hotel ballroom was a breathtaking display of unimaginable wealth. Warm, elegant lighting reflected off massive crystal chandeliers, illuminating rows of pristine gold chairs and extravagant white floral centerpieces. Hundreds of high-society guests sat holding crystal champagne flutes, completely oblivious to the brutal, aggressive confrontation happening at the head table.
Claire, a thirty-something bride wearing an incredibly expensive, white strapless lace designer gown, stood up aggressively. She didn't look like a blushing bride; she looked like a ruthless apex predator who had just secured her prize.
Sitting directly in front of her was Evelyn, her new sixty-year-old mother-in-law. Evelyn was a composed, elegant woman with perfectly styled blonde wavy hair, wearing a tasteful dark navy blue lace dress and a delicate silver necklace.
Claire raised her champagne flute, intentionally drawing the attention of the surrounding VIP tables.
"My family is moving into your estate," Claire announced loudly, a vicious, smug smile plastered across her face.
Behind Claire stood the groom, Daniel. Wearing a sharp dark tuxedo, the thirty-something man watched in absolute, paralyzed panic.
Evelyn didn't gasp. She didn't drop her silver fork. She sat perfectly still, looking up at her new daughter-in-law.
Claire leaned heavily over the white linen table, invading Evelyn’s personal space. Her fake, flawless smile widened, dripping with toxic arrogance.

👉 Claire thought she had just established absolute dominance, completely unaware of the terrifying corporate execution she was about to trigger.
